OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 5, 2020) – Edmond Soccer Club (ESC), Norman Youth Soccer Association (NYSA), North Oklahoma City Soccer Club (NOKC) and South Lakes Soccer Club (SLSC) announced today a new partnership to create the Metro Recreational Soccer League. The league will begin its inaugural season in the fall of 2020.

The new league is designed for U11-U19 recreational teams to participate in four home matches at each team’s respective club and four away matches at any of the partnering clubs, providing greater and varied competition while minimizing travel for participating athletes.

“We are looking forward to the upcoming season of the Metro Recreational League,” said Alli Fansher, North Oklahoma City Soccer Club administrator. “This serves to grow the already bright future for youth soccer in Oklahoma.”

While we are excited to be open for our membership, safety is our top priority and we will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of our coaches, players, spectators, & referees.

Registration for Fall 2020 will open July 1.

Soccer USA Soccer Shop on North May & Hefner is open for the soccer needs of the community and are currently marking every item in the store 20% off until April 15th. For the safety of customers, they are providing multiple ways to shop at the store. These options include a curbside delivery, shipped items (free shipping for purchase of $50 or more), and even in-store pickup. They are constantly cleaning the store to ensure a safe environment for the community that they appreciate so much!

Oklahoma Energy FC, along with North Oklahoma City Soccer Club and Edmond Soccer Club, are hosting a dog supply drive to support Patriots with Paws.

Patriots with Paws provides care packages to military working dogs, police dogs and their handlers. Bring your supplies from Oct. 15-29 to NOKC’s clubhouse and ESC’s referee shack and drop it in the designated box.

The dog supply drive is asking for treats and dog toys to help fill the care packages made by Sydney Leonard, a member of OEFC 03 Central Girls Green and founder of Patriots with Paws.
